After living in the Midwest my entire life – Fergus Falls, Minnesota to be exact – and never really leaving the tri-state area, Albuquerque, New Mexico was quite the culture shock for me at the young age of 19! I first came to the ‘Land of Enchantment’ on a college internship in 2008.

Not to sound like a really bad country song, BUT…we met in a Wal-Mart parking lot. God is amazing at moving lots of small pieces to work in his glory! Ayrat Sitdikov had moved with his family from Samarkand, Uzbekistan just a few short years earlier and here I was, this little farm girl visiting the ‘big city’ 1,300 miles from home for what I thought would be “just a summer”. Before I knew it, we were engaged and married, planting our home in Albuquerque.

Our first little came along in 2012 – 2 months premature. Little Liam was under 4 pounds and spent 56 days in the NICU; what a learning experience that was! God can definitely turn the worst of situations towards good. He is now a very spunky, very healthy and very big little 3 year old!

Our second love came late 2014 – Little Livi. She was also 2 weeks early, but our first baby to go home with us after the normal 48 hour hospital stay. She’s a sweet, cuddly little girl.

I read once on a social media site: God knew what kind of mother our children would need long before theyView More: http://katybrownphotography.pass.us/emily-fall-2015 were even born. Which means he intentionally gave my kids a crazy, OCD, control freak momma bear with lots and lots of love for them. Arent they lucky kids?! Sometimes I wonder…

I am so very very fortunate to be able to be a stay home mom to these munchkins, thanks to my very hard working husband. God has blessed me greatly with several mommy friends whom have developed into sisters over these last few short years! We are never short on entertainment now that all of us have 2 or 3 kids and some that are working on 4 kids each. God says, “Let the little children come…”, well let them come to my house, because I don’t think I’m quite done…
