The Night Light for tonight is – Peace
Webster defines PEACE as, “a state of tranquility or quiet” OR “freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions.”
I define PEACE as:
Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He is the Perfect Peace we can turn to in our time of need and in the darkness of the world – HE is the Light we must look for. Search for Him in your time of need. Seek Him out in these troubled times. Rest in the knowledge that He is there in the midst of chaos. Yesterday, Pastor Paul Holt with The Bible Factor told me that Peace means the ceasing of chaos. There is only one hope we have to cease the chaos raging in our world and in our own personal lives – JESUS.
As you lay your head down tonight seeking rest from a weary day and rest doesn’t come to you quickly because of thoughts flooding your mind – my precious friend take the time to write down the thoughts and take THEM captive instead of your thoughts taking you captive. Write them down and offer them to our Lord. Get them out of your mind and onto a tangible piece of paper. If there is something you can deal with immediately – go deal with it. If it is something that has to wait til tomorrow – then let it wait. Worrying about it as you toss and turn in bed will not solve it!
Rest in the Peace that is our LORD AND SAVIOR – JESUS!
I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid. (NKJV) – Leviticus 26:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (NKJV) – Philippians 4:6-7
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. (NKJV) – Colossians 3:15
